5 minute naan pizza

naan pizza

over the weekend

I know naan pizza isn't anything new but it was the first time i've tried it and i was blown away. I'm not a huge pizza fan as it is, too many flavors going on.. but homemade pizza i can handle.. especially if it takes 5 minutes from start to finish.

I just used trader joe's naan from the freezer section (which is SO good by the way), stuck it in the oven for 2 minutes until its mostly warmed through. Then pulled it out and added sauce, mozzarella, feta and spinach and put it back in for 3 minutes or so. This combo was made up of things that were on its last leg in the fridge but I'm imagining what I could do if some thought was put into it.
I'm thinking a different cheese, sliced pear and a drizzle of honey next time.

I'd love to hear some more ideas and if you try it out, let me know!

  1. Naan pizza is a dietary staple! My husband and I love it with: olive oil, goat cheese, black beans, and spinach.

  5. We love naan pizza! I've never bought Tjs frozen naan but I was contemplating it lastnight. I usually get the bag of whole wheat naan in the bread area...which Bennett loves warmed with melted cheese on top...so good. Also, you should BBQ the pizza next time, it makes it taste even better!

  6. Sounds delicious! Great idea to use naan. Pineapple on pizza is always delicious.

  8. Inspired from Giada on Food Network, she did a carmelized onion and pork sausage pizza, but we don't eat meat in my house. I did carmelized onion (about 25 minutes cooked in olive oil and a tablespoon of butter), fresh basil, roasted cherry tomatoes, and topped with crumbled gorganzola cheese. No sauce on this, just drizzle the olive oil on crust before adding toppings.
