Yesterday was December 1st which meant putting up and starting our advent calendar. It's easily one of our favorite christmas traditions, i almost wish we could keep it up all year. We take turns each day filling the envelope with a special christmasy date or activity, and the occasional small gift. I made a new one this year and I love it.. Simple and easy! It's definitely not too late to make one, even a 20 day calendar is better than none. i cannot stress enough how fun it is.. do it!
December, please go by slowly.

This is lovely--I used to do this with my mom when I was little. I love the clothespin & envelope idea...thanks for sharing!

Oh, what a lovely idea. :) I used to do this every year with my bf way back when.... don't know why I ever stopped, but I should do that again :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely idea! Opening the advent calendar was one of my favourite activities as a kid too, we used the same old battered one for years but it was always so exciting :) My husband and I should start our own advent tradition, it's just such a sweet way to start marking the festivites and joys of the season.
