Sauvie island summer

We've spent many days off on Sauvie island this summer and man, it just doesn't get old. Depending on the day/time you go it can feel like a private beach. We usually perch under a tree and eat and read and nap and get in the water when we get a little too warm. We'll probably be back there at least a few more times before summer is officially over, we just can't quit you sauvie.

  5. I just remembered a pregnant beach tip from a friend! I was too sick my whole pregnancy to make it to the beach :( (I had hg, www.helpher.org) anyway, my friend said when she went, she missed laying on her tummy so bad, she'd dig a hole the size of her belly in the sand, lay her blanket over it, then lay that way, and the whole took any pressure off her belly so she could lay belly down! :) Happy End of Summer!

  8. My family and I were there last Saturday. It was our first time at the beach. We did a little canoeing and then let the girls swim a while at the beach. It is so lovely there, I only wish we had known how great it was earlier in the summer we would have taken advantage of it more!
