the second week of march

so far it's looked a little like this..

1. pretty flowers from my husband on a bad day
2. wearing a favorite dress
3. new magazines
4. and a new succulent to add to the collection

5. washing sheets and bedding (i looove clean sheets)

6. sewing a mountain pillow, because everyone needs one of those right??
7. cleaning the bathroom
8. new paints to play around with

Other than that, i've been catching up on work, organizing closets and avoiding returning emails (i'm so good at that). It's an exhilarating life I live.... ha!
Just kidding.. i'm actually loving this season of life i'm in, trying to work hard but also take time for myself to do fun things like paint or sew something for myself or even read a book. It keeps the creativity alive.


p.s. did you see that google reader will be retiring July 1st? i'm bummed! i've been an avid google reader user for many years. I need to look for the next best thing... what blog reader will you use when it's gone? (or maybe you already use something else...?)

    I was heartbroken when I found out that Google was discontinuing this service, quickly I went on a hunt for the easiest (not like Google, I'm not a large fan of learning new apps). Feedly, in my mind the best option. Best part is, you can sync it with Google Reader!

    We added a few new cacti to our collection this week. I can see why that dress is a new favorite: that collar is divine! I use Bloglovin' and it seems to do the trick...

    I love tulips! What a sweet husband. And I'm so sad google reader is not going to be around anymore. My sister uses blog lovin so I'll have to check that out, but I'm going to miss google reader.

    I use Bloglovin and I love it. I never got into Google reader, not sure why...but I just liked Bloglovin better.

    I must be one of the only people left on earth that actually goes from one site to the other almost everyday manually,ahaha
    guess i'm not a very practical person!
    the tulips are lovely and i adore succulents but there was a big storm two months ago in the city i live and all of mine just flew away/were destroyed - i'm waiting for spring so i can go to my sunny terrace and rebuild my garden :)

    What lovely pictures! The collar on your dress is beautiful! I use the blog reader on blogspot itself... that's not google reader is it? I usually just visit my favourite ones by typing the blog address out.

    i love your pictures, so simple & intriguing. also i just bought the same watercolors! it was the most fun unwrapping each color, like mini presents.

    super bummed about google reader, too. but hopefully we can find something better!

    I really love Bloglovin'. It takes me directly to the blog, but it shows a little preview of the post and a picture. And the UI is so clean.

    I love that mountain cushion, I might have to make one myself...if I had room for any more cushions! I'm a fairly new follower to your blog, and I love this format of showing the little everyday things that everyone does, but rarely takes time to record (I also like clean sheets, I like ironing them which my boyfriend thinks is crazy). That little succulent looks lovely too.

    I used to use Google Reader, but I've switched to Feedly now, great design, easy to use, and switches all your feeds from Google straight over.

    That mug is the absolute best, isn't it? I ended up with it in my blog header I loved it so much. It's just the perfect gigantic size and has the best design.

    I'm probably going to switch over to Feedly, when the time comes. But I am having trouble letting go of Google Reader :(

    I'm so sad about Google Reader :( I've tried Bloglovin' and Feedly the last few days and I prefer Feedly so far. I like the way that it works and the look and feel of it seems more like Google Reader :)

    I just discovered your blog and after scrolling through the first few pages, I think I'm hooked! Your photography is so soothing and bright!

    I love posts like these that show little snippets of bloggers' lives. I'm especially fond of the crochet collar on that black dress, and I agree that freshly laundered sheets always feel ridiculously luxurious.
