hottest day of the year
Portland has pretty mild summers, which is one of the reasons I love it so much. But every now and then a 100 degree day pops up and melts us all into a cranky people.. and since most houses don't have AC, it can get pretty miserable. (Our third story was 110 degrees!) So I skipped town and headed to the suburbs with some friends and sat in the pool all day.. which was HEAVENLY. I'm such a sucker for swimming in a pretty blue pool..
And even though I've been loving every second of summer, I can feel fall just around the corner and I can't wait..

Oh my, I can't imagine a house without ac! But then again I've lived in the triple digit Tx summer heat all my life lol. Y'all are lucky to have mild summers! So looking forward to fall too, it's my favorite season! :)
ReplyDeletePhew. I'm not going to lie, I'm glad to be in cloudy Scotland! "That week" just gets me every year. I'm a mellow weather girl. Stay cool pretty lady!

I commend you for making the best of that day. I was whiny and I hated it. Ugh, 100 degree temps are not for me!
ReplyDeleteI am BEYOND ready for fall...
ReplyDeleteThe cutest. When I venture home to Portland from Brooklyn in the summer, I like to visit my boyfriends family in Lake Oswego to swim in the lake. Or brave the freezing waters of the Sandy. I MISS OREGON SUMMA.
