an afternoon with succulents

yesterday i decided it was time to rearrange my succulent collection. most of them were on their own and some not even in soil.. i just grabbed a few containers around the house that will host them until i can buy bigger ones. Don't you love succulents? They are so low maintenance which is exactly what i need in a house plant. Plus they sorta look like creatures!
It was so relaxing.. and felt good to get my hands dirty. I'm wishing I would've planted a balcony garden to keep up in the summer. (Maybe its not too late.. I'll add that to my weekend to-do list)

Speaking of the weekend, this week wore me out! And I'm so looking forward to the weekend to catch up on all the little things I can't get done during the week (i get so stressed about the little things) but i'm mostly excited to relax and read a book or something! And maybe make some ice cream...

  5. Oh, it's not too late at all! You can still plant some tomatoes (they grow well in containers) and a few other veggies. Or you can have a spot in my garden and I'll "let" you come work in our yard whenever you want!

  9. I bought a succulent a few weeks ago at a Farmer's Market and I'm so in love. It has already grown too big for its little pot, so I'll be switching it over soon!

I'd love to have a rooftop garden. That'd be perfect!

  13. I'm really wanting to get some succulents. Do you have any recommendations on what kinds to get? The spiky one you have above is my favorite.

(And now that you mention it, succulents really do look like creatures. I think I'd have to give mine names....)
